Multimon home edition8/5/2023 I matched my disabled card settings (thinking I maynot be able to change them later) and re-enabled the ATI card, then rebooted. The system loaded up into the NVIDIA card looking horrible at 16 colors but I was immediatley able to adjust the Display settings. I disabled the ATI card from the Device manager and rebooted. I finally managed to update the drivers to the latest 91.47 version but still could not change the Dispay settings of the NVIDIA card. I figured out that I had to change my BIOS to look at the PCI card first. After long googling I found that I could create a temporary hardware profile to play with. I could not alter the setting in the Display properties but I could extend the desktop. I could only get 800圆00 (or less) at 16 colors. At first the NVIDIA drivers (91.47) wouldn't install properly so opted to use the default windows drivers. My first card is an ATI Radeon 7200 (64meg VIVO) and I installed a second card that is a NVIDIA 32meg GeForce2 MX100/200. I just set up a dual monitor setup on my WinXP Pro system and it was a bit of a problem at best. Really great addon for getting the most out of your multiple minitor setup. It add's a lot of cool items to the shell such as titlebar buttons to move an app from monitor to monitor, adds a taskbar on each monitor - so only the apps running on that monitor show up on the taskbar for that monitor. Here's a shot of my display properties that will make more sense.Īnother cool tool for multiple monitors is UltraMon. It's not like VNC or desktop sharing or something - it is an actual display adapter added to your main pc. How's that for cool?!Įdit: Just to clarify, MaxiVista adds the monitor over the network as a second display adapter. MaxiVista let's me add my laptop's monitor as a second display adapter on my main machine. How's this you ask? I'm using some software called MaxiVista which let's you add the display of another machine as a second monitor to your machine - accross the network. That is pure love, isn't it? One thing especially cool here is that I am using my laptop as an additional monitor. I can't even imagine trying to work without multiple monitors and don't think I could ever go back to a single monitor.
